A sensorial exploration of the tomato plant. Its fresh leaves illustrated by grapefruit and bergamot, green stem evoked by galbanum, the acidic, juicy nuances of its fruit found in blackcurrant bud. In contrast to an overly vegetal accord, a racy note of vetiver adds depth, and ginger a touch of spice.

Jean-François Laporte opened his first boutique on the rue de Grenelle, in Paris, in 1979.

For the first time in several decades, a fragrance brand was born that was not the periphery business of a fashion label or designer, but a new niche brand in its own right.

With this in mind, Jean-François Laporte opened his first retail store to offer his customers the most in depth and authentic experience possible, translating fragrance into a brand universe. Until then, only the larger historical brands had been able to do so, holding the monopoly for fragrance retail.
